Student Population Profiles

Profiles of the student population give insight into how the provider’s population is comprised across various internal groupings, such as departments, faculties, courses, modules, and across protected characteristics, such as age or gender.

It gives providers an in-depth analysis of how the overall indicators are comprised, and identifies areas of good practice, and areas to target for improvement.

Student population profiles give providers insight into how their student population is comprised. This includes splits across the following categories:

  • Mode of study (Full-time, Part-time or Apprenticeship)

  • Level of study (Undergraduate groups, Postgraduate groups) - which align with the performance indicators

  • Student characteristics (e.g. Age, Disability)

Our dashboards are in a similar format to those of the OfS shape and size of provision data dashboard but show data at a more disaggregated level, i.e.

  • Faculty

  • Department

  • Research centre

  • Courses

  • Modules
